A Great Awakening is an original Sight and Sound historical drama film that follows the true story of the unlikely friendship between the evangelical preacher Reverend George Whitefield and founding father Benjamin Franklin. The story is told through flashbacks. An elderly Benjamin Franklin, frustrated by the lack of progress at the 1789 Constitutional Convention, reminisces to his grandson about how Whitefield’s ministry previously unified the colonies.
